Photographer’s Note
This is a study in scale. The composition is a fairly standard 'little man in the big nature' picture, but here the scale is as extreeme as I have ever tried it. I think it works though.
The place is of course the stunning Lofoten islands dressed in clouds. We barely started descending before the peak was snow-covered.
PS: work was only levels and curves.

Yes, the sense of scale works wonderfully with the little silhouetted man with his arms in the victory position.

The Lofoten islands, of coruse. i lived there for four years, and I can relate to this picture. But it is, as you say, a standard composition, nicely done with a powerful impact. The simplicity in the picture makes it even stronger.
