Photographer’s Note
Everybody has probably seen this picture before, but taken by someone else... I guess the unusual thing here is the cloudy sky. Actually it was pretty cold in Cairo when I was there.

Hi Simon,
Always very nice these great pyramids to see, the brown colour in foreground give a nice contrast against the few clouded sky, a pity but maybe a little grainy in the sky Simon!
Best regards,
John.

Great shot. You made a very nice composition with the sky being most part of the shot. Makes the pyramides look even more huge. Good job.

Hola Simón: I like this composition, the greatness of the sky, the greatnes of the desert, the greatness of the pyramids. The light is perfect here, you were lucky with the day. Congratulations.

cairo can catch you out if you dont wrap up well..and the sky tells the story...
i love the desert and egypt in particular..you have taken a stock shot and made it personal and shareable without any severe effects
i did a w/s just for the horizon repositioning
thanks

For me the unusual thing here is the angle and the distance: Usually pyramids are seen in a row - three of them: But here it's a vertical which also ibcludes the three small ones which are not seen in most of the pictures. Perhaps some more contrast ( Or less white clouds ) would add beauty ro the picture.
Take care Simon - Izzet

Bonjour Simon,
J'aime bien ce cadrage qui laisse une large part au ciel tout en donnant une dimension plus humble aux pyramides.
Amicalement,
Laurent.

Simple mais tres efficace au niveau du contraste.
Le cadrage est bien pensé.

I like this compo with a fine placement of the horizon and good use of the vertical format. Also good idea to close it in with the frame. Nice work simon

I can not imagine Egypt on cold weahter... It's a great classic shot. Colors are great, like the black frame. I wonder if those little points by the sand are people... How could they do such huge buildings at so ancient time... Best regards, Simon.

This is probably one of the most seen composition in any travel agent office, still great to see it also at TE. Your framing allowing so much sky above the pyramids is an interesting choice.
Kind regards, Peter

Hi Simon! Yes, the clouds are really good add-on to this otherwise quite familiar scene.. Good thing is that you have left enough space around the pyramids. I think this would be nice also as a B&W
Ha det bra,
Jarkko
