Photographer’s Note
Time: An October morning at 8 am. Place: The suburbs north of Copenhagen. A typical train station for the suburbian commuters heading for the city. This man just missed one train and the next never came, since they often have problems with the ailing signal system of the Copenhagen public rail transport network. But notice how the CCTV cameras are there! The trains may not run on time, but you can be sure to be on camera when you finally board one!

Ce que j'aime de cette photo, c'est que ce qui est net est sombre, et ce qui est clair est flou. C'est l'image parfaite de l'attente.
Bravo!

Hi Per - A fine moment you captured here - the composition with the lone commuter and his (long waited) train in the hazy horizon work excellent - And yes - there was an extra camera on the station this morning - very well done.

Hi Per. I do like this one quite a bit - I think the foggy setting adds a special extra on top of the well-made composition where of course the railway tracks and the curving platform with the yellow line make an excellent perspective quality. The monitors at the left make a nice repetitive element that is well included to balance the overall framing.

It is a Cinematic view. The different direction of moving of the man and the train is good looking. The man may be more sharper.

The composition is really good and tells a tale,I like the train in the distance partially obscured by a touch of most. The softness of the shot does however let it down and I think because of the graphic shapes in the image a mono shot would work much better.I have done a workshop of this.

Hej Per,
Et meget vellykket billede der udtrykker en kendt følelse, toget der lige er kørt væk... Kompositionen er også meget god!

Per,
Nice shot from the daily life with the anonymous commuter. Nice lines and repetitions and the train is approaching in the haze.
Thanks,
Magnus

You have capture the moment well here - there is definitely thought going on in this man's head about the train service!

Hi Per, To me he is an modern icon of patience. Is he looking with resignation at a missed train ? or is he welcoming a much awaited one ? I can't say but his slightly tilted head seems to acknowledge an unavoidable fate. The blur in which the train is hiding adds to the dreamy feeling. Very nice picture.

Hi Per,
Interesting image, you have obtained a work with a very special atmosphere, good depth that guide the glance until the train that moves away, a different image that it seems removed from a film. Thanks to share.

José
