Photographer’s Note
Sailing down on Mekong from Ban Houay Xai, we stopped in one of the villages on the banks. It was raining a little and all the people were away in countryside to work. In the village remained just kids and elders.
Of course soon we were the biggest attraction. I notice this baby watching at me but she was too shy to be photographed. So I had to wait a while and try to have a conversations with her grandmother to get the right moment to catch her tender sight.

Hi Luca, You did well waiting for the perfect moment to catch this sweet girl's portrait! She is still shy, but opening up enough to have this beautiful curious look in her eyes. I like the tight crop you did. Excellent work! Sabine

great shot ...
i like the close focus ... her eyes really draw you into the photo.
i'd like to see this in black and white, with a bit of contrast.
i'm going to laos in three weeks. i'm hoping to get lots of great shots.
