Photographer’s Note
Watamu is located near Malindi, north of Mombasa. It’s a very small village, with half a dozen, spread out and very little visible resorts.
The shoreline is very beautifull here, with very nice beaches doted with eroded blocks of old coral.
The waters here belong to the Watamu Marine National Park. I came here for a few days relaxing on the beach and some snorkeling along the corals. Unfortunately, the corals seem to be dying, it is thought as a consequence of the warming of the Indian sea waters, and the snorkeling was a disapointment. But there was still the nice beach, virtually deserted, since it was low season (August).

Hi Ricardo - nice perspective and landscape - In Réunion Island (where I lived 20 years ago) we had already the same problem with the coral (very sensitive to the pollution of the modern life) - sory for my english -
Colours are splendid
Well done
Thanks

Hi Ricardo
I just discover your beautifull galery.
This picture is beautifull. I have seen some similar landscape in Zanzibar in low tide.
Nice composition.

Hi Ricardo - I like the low perspective and interesting landscape, nice exposure despite the strong light.

hello Ricardo,
thank you for sharing an image of this unique place.
The low POV gives an amazing perspective, the colors are beautiful. Good composition with the two stacks in the distance as focal points.

Bom contraste, cores e enquadramento. Bom trabalho e um cenário selvajem impressivo.
Parabéns e um bom fim de semana.

Hej Ricardo,
It almost looks like an abstract painting! The low tide creates a great pattern here and this is a very good capture of it from a good POV. I find the colours good too. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Great shot Ricardo. I like the pattern created by the undulations of the sand in the foreground, and the unusual rock formations in the background. The good low angle draws the viewer into the picture. (This scene reminds me of the east coast of Zanzibar - it has the same low tides). Nice one!

Hi Ricardo,
Your POV is very well chosen and the athmosphere is really astounding with the patterns of the small pools on the sand. The place seems very remote, lost, forgotten, wild... very attractive for a misanthrope!

Marine
