Three Valley Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

July 31, 2005.
After this long road we deserved well a good night of sleep. It is with the hotel of the 3 valleys (that David Chan have presented to you) that we stopped. A nice view from the lake in direction of the hotel which you distinguish at the bottom. In these narrow valleys which are often the bed of a lake, the sun and the light are always capricious. The effects with the reflections are everywhere.

Magnifique paysage avec ces réflections qui cadre naturellement la photo avec les montagnes pour nous diriger droit vers l'hôtel. Excellente composition.

Bonjour Jacques. Image avec une bonne netteté. Le "couloir" formé par les reflets conduit le regard vers l'arrière plan et permet une lecture cohérente du paysage. je ne peux pourtant m'empêcher de penser que la composition aurait peut-être bénéficié d'une orientation verticale. Amitiés.

Hello Jacques.
Quelle magnifique idée d'avoir cadré sur le bas et de mettre en valeur cette superbe reflexion.
Le cadrage est très bien vu avec cette verdure sur le bas et la droite.
Excellente profondeur avec une belle netteté.
Très belles couleurs naturelles.
Par contre il me semble que ca penche un chouillat sur la droite....

A splendid water reflection, Jacques, with the steep mountain sides making it look a little like the fjords of Norway. Also with the hotel at the far end of the lake. Your POV focusing on the water surface allow us not only to see the surroundings as a reflection, but also the pureness of the water. Well composed, although a minor tilt CW. Very well done!

Hi Jacques,a very nice image which stands out very well.Reflections are lovely,i like how the sky reflection opens up a highway right throughout the lake,the reflection naturally leads the eye to the buldings at the end of the lake.
