Sf. Ana lake
Is the only intact preserved lake in Central Europe situated into a volcanic crater. It’s a rarity of the Nature being declared natural reservation. It’s situated upstream Baile Tusnad Spa at 950 m. altitude in the Ciomatu volcanic massif’s central zone. The lake has a 95,280 sq. m surface and a 786,360 sq. m volume. Its surface has an almost circular shape: the long axis in the north-east-north-west direction is 620 m. long and the short axis perpendicular on the long one is 464 m. long. The lake is 4,2 m. mean deep and 7 m. maximum deep. Its fauna is quite poor being represented only by a few species of snakes, bugs, craw fishes and.....
