Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in a tent camp near the National Assembly in Managua. I wanted to post a fun and light hearted photo before I get started with my 3rd photostory this summer. With summer's end fast approached for us here, I feel that is time to finally post the last story. Check back soon for the story entitled "Poisoned."

Hi mark
I like the effect you made here, and it looks easy but I don’t think I it.
I find the surrounding a bit messy but still find the picture very interesting because the girl is smiling at me while she is running.

I hope you will find the path to joining the profs (im following from distance what you doing,
(wish I was getting closer)

Hello Mark, waht a lovely smile you captured in a split second. You must have acted very fast, as she was running. What do we have, the sunsetting? Or a fire? You often center your pics, it is becoming a sort of trademark for you, I guess

This one is very good Mark, love the effect you have achieved, what a contrast with your series to see such a happy child.
Composition is good, like the fact that by looking around the image we can discover different thing, group of poeple gathered, car, some tents etc etc. Feel that the right side of the image is weaker, perhaps a crop on the right with a bit of tighter crop at the top and the bottom to keep the format?

Brilliant work, Mark. Love the pan, with the little child's face rendered sharp, the highlight caught on her face, glinting in the dark, like a glint of hope...excellent photo.

I love the movement in the shot although I feel that were it perfect, she would be nearer the centre of the frame.
