Photographer’s Note

A child is feeding the pigeons in San Marco square, Venice.

The square is beutiful and so pleasant but somehow the pigeons draws all the attention, especially of the young visitors.

You can buy a small bag of corn seeds for 1 Euro, and spend a few minutes surronded with dozens of pigeons.

BTW, this child is not my of mine, although mine were doing just the same.

A very nice shot with a lot of fascination on the face of the child. It has been 30 years (1973) since I was last in Venice. I am glad it has not sunk yet. There is still time for another visit. TFS.

Wow, the simplicity
Such a simple and normal daily life shot ,we see it almost everyday and still you made a very good composition no PP no manipulation no crop
It’s a Very good picture Yitzhak full with emotions
I also like the parents hand detail showing the child how to feed the pigeons

Hai Yitzhak, I like the expression on the kid's face. He is cute and adorable. Good idea too to blur out the background.

This is definitely a different shot from what I've come to expect from you Yitzhak, but then I've been much less involved at TE and haven't followed your work for quite awhile. You manage the depth of field nice and take a low point of view that really highlight this child captivated by the always hungry pigeons. The red clothes the child wears adds to the scene. Of course, it is possible this whole photo was a mistake and that you were aiming for the young woman with the short skirt, but I'll assume you're too fine a photographer to make such an error in focusing your camera... ;-)

By the way, I love the hand extending into the frame from the left. Fine contribution.

Hi Itzik. A nice colorful photo of the little one seeming to be totally in a world of his own. The DOF is ideally managed, directing our attention to where it should be, yet retaining sufficient a amount of the colorful streetlife around.

Hi Itzik, what a lovely catch! The child is sitting so nicely and waiting full of trust for the pigeons to come. Great expression from under that hat, and the red clothes really make the kid stand out. The hand in focus on the left, is very nice as well.
