Photographer’s Note

African Roads in the Game reserves and National Parks of Botswana are sandy, muddy, shortly said rough roads. A good 4x4 with high clearance is a must to get into the wilderness. This is the "Third Bridge" in the Moremi National Park (NW of Botswana), a bridge over narrow river and wetlands around it. It is a favorite place of lions to cross the river, especially at night. Driving roads like that is very slow and average speed below 40 km/h must be considered when planning trips.

Amazing sky. the greenery is so well rendered and the vehicle appears to be driving right into the monitor. the composition is very good with the grasses on the forefront. the psots on the side of the bridge are quite interesting.

I like your image Michael. Great perspective. Maybe we should have a few more roads like that...it would certainly slow down boy-racers.

This is very lovely Michael, though I can't help but feel the image would be improved if you included a bit less grass in the foreground and a bit more of that dramatic sky above. Just a thought...

The light coming in from the left is quite nice, especially with the darkened sky above. Colors are good and details well rendered. I note from the EXIF info that this is shot at 38mm, which makes me curious what lens you were using for this photo. Especially when folks are using digital SLRs, its nice to have that additional information. You can add lenses and filters to your equipment profile where you listed your 20D.

Fine work here. Thanks for sharing. At least to my mind we don't see nearly enough photographs from Africa.

Sweet picture, but I do not think that the sky is real. It is too dark and for Africe too much clouds
