Photographer’s Note
This one's for Isabel, because...
I had such a good time in Saõ Paulo, staying with Isabel. When I went into the city on my own, Isabel used to tell which bus to take. So here I was standing and waiting, it took a while, so what do you do? You take your camera, and start taking some nightshots. It then took much longer, because I forgot to check whether my bus was coming ;-)
Thanks very much for everything, Isabel, and for the good time we had together.
Handheld at 200 iso, no adjustments, just a frame.

a lot of blur, but the floor is still in focus, hence giving a lot of dynamism to this shot! well done!

The parts that shoild be stationary are sharp, the moving things are blurred. So, hey, thgats a good way to use blur. Good dynamic feel to this action photo.

Let me echo Eleparc'S succinct comments about the floor "earthing" this blurred night scene for us. Very col shot, a otuch of Tai Driver in it for me. I hear jazz, slowly wailing in the Brailian night... Greetings, Francis

Oi Rine, what an exciting urban nightcapture with loads of dynamics, atmosphere and even suspens here! The angle was very well chosen and I like the different kind of motion blurs left and right in the frame. Great!

A real "Isabelle mood" in this picture, interesting that you can make a picture so full of life when most of the foreground is desert... But three shadows on the left, cars quickly fading away, night lights... A real atmosphere with almost nothing. Well done, really.

Hi Rinie, A very well document style of picture to record what could be happening in the 1/3 second on a city street. There are many interesting scenes to look at: the city evening view, the bus station rush-in/out, the traffic stop and go.
A very impressive handheld shot. Well done.

Nice dynamics Rinie. The motion blur of people and the traffic really offer so much energy. There is sound of traffic and sound of people, warm air, the smell of exhaust. And the feel of really being part of that all and immersed in it. The only thing I might suggest is a little more contrast to add to that energetic feel you already so excellently captured.
