Photographer’s Note
This is a close up on the mosaic’s pavements of Rossio square in Lisbon, which you can see beautifully portrayed here .
I wish I had a wide angle when I took this photograph...and many others in fact. Much too lazy to take several photographs and stitch them later with pp. There’s nothing new to say about this square that hasn’t been written before in TE.
A curious thing is that I strolled around the place for a while that day, and saw more black than white Portuguese people during the time I was there. It was such a bright day, and so hot, that I felt like being in one of those African countries where Portuguese is still spoken and considered the official language. It matches the black and white pavements (granite and basalt). And that is an amusing coincidence to me. I like mixtures. Any kind of mixtures, and mainly racial ones. Don’t you?

Hello Gall,
Super travail
Merci pour le partage
Amicalement

Hello Gal. I like this quasi-wide-angle view of the square. Even though you were limited to 28mm, it is still a good overview of the patterns. It's funny to look at the screen and tilt your head or close your eyes halfway: then other patterns become visible. You've included an interesting and beautiful background with monumental buildings. And yes: also a mixture of people.
The last sentences of your note sound a little cryptic... But I have to agree: even though I have a large amount of Asian blood running through my veins, I have a 100% Dutch girlfriend :-)

Hi Gal,
Good composition. The drawings resemble sea waves. Nice perspective.

Vey clever use fo the graphic pattern in the square, and good placing of the two walking by. I'm not sure about the value of the sky in this one.

Salut Gal.

Hi Gal, I remember I started writing a critique on this one, but erased it again and didn't start a new one ;-) granite and basalt he? Both very tough, I guess that goes for the people as well.
I like the pattern in the stone it,s like a sea, and ver since I saw this pic, there's this book title in my head of Salman Rushdie's book "Haroun and the sea of stories". I'm not sure why, as there are many titles with the word sea in it, maybe because of what you write about the former Portuguese colonies, there must be a lot of stories intertwined, or it's just that I can't control my imagination.
Nice, Gal, and you manged very well with the bright light.

Bonjour Gal
je me suis balladé sur ta gallerie.
tu as vraiment un coup d'oeil tres averti.
