Photographer’s Note
Xiahe hosts the Lalulang Monastery, In the hills of Gansu province. In the summer it is beautiful and green, but now in January, it was a bit cold. At night around -10C, during day around +10C.
In the monastery they have different study groups, but every young monk is attending these musical gatherings in the afternoon. The older ones are playing the big horns and the younger ones are "enjoying the music".
I chose to post this picture; the smile on the face is just great. Let me know what you think of this one.

Very nice, Etienne, his joy looks very genuine. The shot is well framed with his arms forming a dynamic diagonal. I'm not sure the high POV is the best here, it's less intimate, but it's still a great shot.

Allo Etienne
you captured a very happy monk and I must thank you for sharing this picture on TE. It is a very good photo and I like everything about it .... partly because I have also spent quite a considerable time with these buddhist monks in India
Winter temperatures in Gansu seem to be way too high as compared to how cold the tibetan plateau (Ladakh in India) tends to get in the winters ... (around -30 C in the nights)
