Photographer’s Note
Here are the silhouettes of Kronborg Castle in the city of Elsingor/Helsingør, a castle which is famous because Shakespeare's "Hamlet" in this castle.
It is one of the three Danish objects which is on UNESCO's list of the world's most precious cultural assets.
The castle got its name in the 16th century by King Frederik II (when the castle was renovated in Renaissance style), but Kronborg was already build in 1422 by King Erik of Pommern.
It was build on important strategic place by the Øresund, the narrow water between Danmark and Sweden and the entrance to the Baltic Sea.
It took this photo when the sun was going down and the sky had a very dramatic look. I sharpened the photo, increased the contrasts and softened some noice in the sky a bit. The castle is unfortunately not more detailed, but that is probably not possible with this kind of light.

this is fine for me anyway..i like this unusual silhuette here..cos likewise all other silhuette has the background sky color as somewhat sunset kind .. but here it is more like blue.. what about the noise in the sky ?? did u try neatimage ?

Bonsoir Stef,

Hi Stef, A nice match of the "Hamlet" mood shot. I like the colors of the background, the colors of the sky and the clouds and the silhouette view of the building and the trees. The picture looks like a settings for a Shakespeare's stage scene. Well done.

Hi Stef. The silhouettes come across great and the sky is dramatic. I love the use of the low-horizon. There is noise but it's not too bad. I don't like to use any method in Photoshop to reduce noise because when you sharpen again it puts the noise right back! That's why I love my standalone program, Noiseware. Good shot though Stef.

This phot is a little strange as it seems to be a silhouette but then I can see details on the building so it is not a true silhouette! Still i think it is a pleasing photo and the sky is very interesting.
There is a bit of noise still, but I dont think it makes too much difference.
