Predjamski Grad Photo

Photographer’s Note

Built in 1570, Predjamski Grad is located in a 123 m high limestone cliff, in the entrance of a cave which has four levels. The deepest level is filled with water, the river flowing through is called Lovka. The castle is built into the large entrance of the middle level.
An exit from the top level to the plateau was used as secret entrance in the middle ages, today it is filled with rocks.

L'endroit est réellement impressionnant et la visite doit en être intéressante. L'architecture massive du monastère ajoute au côté isolé et écrasant du lieu. Bonne gestion des coueurs et contrastes avec une lumière pas forcément optimale. Merci du partage !

Wonderful scenery. Great colours. The compo could be cropped a bit more from below to leave out the white fence, but the image is good.

Wow... what a castle !
I wonder how difficult it should be to attack such a fortification. This castle might be a nightmare for the enemies... a masterpiece of war defense. I've seen this castle here in TE but your pix is superb.

superbe edifice qui vallait bien un portrait.
Peut-être un phenomène lié à mon écran, mais je pense qu'une dominante rouge merite une petite correction sinon un chateau superbe appuyé sur ces rochers que tu as parfaitement cadré.

Endroit saisissant fort bien mis en image avec de belles couleurs. La construction de cet édifice à l'époque n'a pas du être aisée.

this is an unusual castle, I like the small pointed roofs and the cheverons around some of the windows (are they shutters?) A little more cropping at the bottom might have been good but still a fine image. Well done.
