Photographer’s Note

Cisne Branco, " swan white " in literal translation, is the training ship of the Brazilian Navy. It is also the vessel ambassador of a nation, built at the time of the celebrations of the 500e anniversary of discovered Brazil. The three-masted ship was launched at the end of 1999 and took part in the commemorative festivities.
The ship of 76 meters aux 31 veils and its 55 members of crews crossed the Atlantic to be accomodated in French territorial waters, within the framework of the year of Brazil in France. Il is present in Bordeaux this 23 June 2005 for the festival of the river.

Salut Dominique,
Après des problèmes de connexion, me revoilà sur TE. Je vois qu'en mon absence, tu nous fait partager de belles photos. Avec ce grand voilier, et le pont en pierre, on dirait un tableau de Vernet, le peintre des ports de France du XVIIIème siècle. Très réussi. Amicalement.

Bonjour dominique,
J'etais à Bordeaux mercredi pour vinexpo,en chemin je me suis arreté pour admirer ces beaux bateaux,a travers les cordages on voit aussi le navire de croisiere que tu nous as montré precedament,ta photo est sympa,avec le pont de pierre en fond et tous ses drapeaux colorés qui flottent,bon WE,

Salut Dominique,
Belle mise en valeur avec cette large place laissée au fleuve. Le bateau a fière allure même sans ses voiles et le pont ajoute un plus à ta composition. Bon rendu des détails.

C'est une belle photo d'un bateau superbe. j'aime bine les fanions de signalisation qui tombent dans l'eau au premier plan, et créent une ligne qui court sur toute la silhouette du bateau. Belle composition également.
La couleur de l'eau est vraiment surprenante

What a beautiful shot of a fantastic training ship!
Look i´ve just found this site with other amazing shots from this ship. In "Ouça o Cisne Branco" you will listen to the hymn of the Brazilian Navy. The song refers to this ship.
Beautiful colors and composition. The line of the horizon is somewhat 0.2 tilted to the right.
