Photographer’s Note
It appeared to be common practice, in the Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains, for girls aged around 9-13 to carry around their infant brothers and sisters. Presumably Mom was busy with gathering cattle feed, caring for the animals, cooking the bread, and such. With no electricity, and no roads in and out, life in these villages seemed not a lot different in these ways from life in Europe or the US in the 19th century.

Great shot of a small and yet busy girl with a baby on her back. Beautiful colors, good focus and what I like best-the light.

This is a beautiful image. I love the fact that the baby the girl is carrying is struggling to look around at the starnger with the camera. The girl's expression is intersting - like she is not too sure how to take you. The light perfect and the colours deep and rich.

A nice shot - I like her colourful clothes and the younger one peeking round at you. I like to see life untainted my the modern era.
cheers, david
