Photographer’s Note
Gas is expensive everywhere, of course, but (even though it seems to be getting a little cheaper at the moment) it hasn't been below a dollar per gallon in Houston for nearly fifteen years. This was taken at an abandoned gas station, but I'm guessing that the number 1 has just fallen off the sign.
I cropped about a third of the image away, adjusted the levels, and sharpened and resized the image before uploading.
