On this picture you can truly understand the purpose of all these stonewalls on the irish pastures! They serve to protect the growing grass from the wind...and here you can see how it would grow without the walls...lol I guess the fine irish country milk would turn out less pleasant and the wool less dense..lol Hava nice sunday... Salut Léonie,
un paysage très épuré, naturel, à l'image des jolies couleurs de ton image. La composition est bonne, mais j'aurais peut être cadré un peu plus bas, de façon à avoir un peu moins de ciel et équilibrer un peu plus l'ensemble. Bien vu en tout cas !

Salut Léonie.
Quel travail ces murs de pierre ! La région doit être ventée pour qu'il y ait aussi peu de verdure. Belle composition. J'aime le contraste entre l'herbe seche et le vert de la prairie aux moutons.

A beautiful landscape, Leonie! The wall in the foreground is so straight that it look a cutting in the picture!
These walls are also in Mediterrean area, because ancient people built them for divideng proprties and take off stones from the fields. But I saw some in Cres island (Cherso in Italian, once it was Italy), Craoatian Republic, that close fields without any grass, omly stones, so everytime I pass there I ask to myself why did they build them. I will go there next month, so I will shot a photo.

Hi Léonie, An excellent composition here. A very nice illustration of the functions of the walls. The stone walls draw very interesting lines along the hill. My view follows the lines and finally find the perfect straight line between the hill and the sky. You have captured a beautiful sky in the picture also. What a beautiful scene.
The sheep in the picture are lovely.
An excellent catch. A beautiful photo. Well done.

Ahhhh voila j'ai reussi a retrouver ta photo ..... ;o) J'adore ta photo et ce saisissant contraste entre l'herbe verte et l'herbe jaune. Les murets sont vraiment utiles et de plus ils s'integrent tres bien dans le paysage.

Hi Leonie. The clarity and sharpness are superb. This shot remind me of the expression "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." In this shot that can't be truer, can it? I love the way the light is hitting the stones that make up the way. Well seen Leonie, I like it!

Hello Leonie, ca va te sembler bizarre mais cette image me fait penser au film Robin des Bois avec Kevin...au debut du film ca se passe dans un decor similaire...;o)...tout ca pour dire que c'est tout simplement tres beau et bien capture...ca ressemble au paradis des moutons ;o) avec des couleurs sublimes.

Tiens cela me rappel fortement un film avec tom cruise et Nicole kidman. J'aime ces petites parcelles. cela doit etre un paysage impressionnant quelque soit la meteo !
