Photographer’s Note
August 7, 2004.
After the plain, here the mountain which arrives. The train starts to go up. The rice plantations are always present. Now, they marry the curves of the ground, transforming the landscape into a monumental
staircase going to the sky. It's exquisite, a beauty to cut you the breath. Reassure, I will not show you tens and tens of photographs which I took from this van, but it is the last for this trip by train which brings us towards Yogyakarta after a way of more than 8 hours.

Bonsoir Jacques,
Encore Bravo !!!

A bit overexposed maybe, still some great details and a very attractive overall setting. I like it, fine details, good graphic details, well made presentation. Very good J.

Hi Jacques
Love the green fields of paddy. It's a well balanced green because it's a little too exposure that results the sky became whitening, and it gives the green the top form.
Well done.

Hi Jacques, there is something special about images of terraced rice fields and yours is great too. Your perspective is nice, the colours great as is your composition.
best wishes

Salut Jacques.

Merci.

The heavy saturation show a richness in vegetation, Jacques, which is quite remarkable. I always think of Switzerland as a country with rich meadows of 'juicy' grass - but this beats it. The terraced rice fields look amazing and the surrounding vegetation too. There's a slight overexposure, but somehow that fits in the humid impression of your photo. Very well done!

Even if not 100 % sharp, I like all the different greens of this picture : that's amazing to see the infinite variations of one color that nature can show us !
