Sinai Sunrise Photo

Photographer’s Note

Early morning in the Sinai Desert, Egypt.
The sun rises above the mountains of Saudi Arabia, on the other side of the Eilat Gulf. The northern part of the gulf is divided by Istral and Jordan, which have a very narrow piece of coast. The Eastern part is Saudi Arabia and the Western part is Egypt. In the southern part of the bay there is a narrow passage, the Tiran Passage whice leads out of the gulf to the open Red Sea.

this is a beautiful sunset Yitzhak. What I like most about it are the subtle colors. It's not what I would call a vulgar sunset..
you know the one with too many "fire" like colors..
This is a beautiful one...

A beautiful moody morning scene, Itzik. The whole subtlety is what makes this one special, including the delicate use of foreground silhouettes and the subdued and gentle colors and light. Very nice.

Very quiet. colors are not that dramatic but mornings are supposed to be peaceful so there you go...colors to compliment the mood.

I like this placid image Yitzhak, the sunrise with morning fog above the mountains, also the reflection of the sunbeam in water. the foreground with the dark tree silhouette make your picture still beautiful.

Very peaceful and melow sunrise, Yitzhak!
I like the closeness of palm tree silhouettes, sea surface and the mountains in the distance.

Kitsch? I think it's lovely, Yitzhak! Your composition includes appropriate amounds of sky and dark, sillhouetted land, and the sun is in a strong position. Nice work!

This almost like a classic painting of a sunrise withe gabarit of the counterlighted foreground to a blue-gray sky colored to red of the sun.
