Oldie for Tourists Photo

Photographer’s Note

Lisboa Trams are a good source for inspiration for photographers, regardless of their TE membership.
I spotted this old restored one used to transport tourists on a square near the Rossio, the name of this square is Praça da Figueira (Obrigado Susana !)

Hi Jean-Yves,
I like the composition, and the bright tram contrasts well against the muted colours of the background. The statue on the right balances the composition well.

C'est vrai que ces petits trains sont bien sympas à voir. TRès colorés.
Belle image bien cadrée. La statue qui regarde passer les trains. C'est bien vu.

Je trouve toujours ces trams magnifiques par la couleur qu'ils portent ou par la forme. La composition est très belle et cette motrice à flèche donne très bien sur cette image.

tut tut fait le tram devant les passants pas très prudents !
Ils sont beaux et photogéniques ces trams, ils ont raison de les laisser en circulation pour promener les touristes !
Le poteau me fait penser que l'image penche à droite.

Excellent tram shot, Jean. The bold red colour really stands out against the rest. I also like how the statue of the 'King on the horse', looks down on the 'moving horse-less box'. Well framed.

I like how two modes of transportation are contrasted here: the tram and the horse! Both are in strong positions compositionally. An engaging photo, Jean Yves.

Someday, my goal is to come to Lisbon on vacation. Perhaps we'll meet up and sing fada together!

Hello Jean-Yves. I must agree that this is a photogenic place. I like your composition as well as the great choice of photo subjects like the trolley, buildings, and the statue. It might be fun to bump up the contrast a little but that's about it. Another fine shot Jean-Yves!!

Ce tram d'un autre temps est charmant, on est loin des transports lisses et effilés d'aujourd'hui. De la couleur, des formes et le détail qui tue : un parre buffle à l'avant comme dans les chemins de fer exotiques :))))

Un tram, des pavés, une statue équestre, des lanternes, du soleil et des touristes. Elles ne sont pas si nombreuses, les villes aptes à pouvoir offrir tout ça. Bon cadrage et couleurs naturelles ! J'emprunte cette photo pour mon thème "towns with tramways".

gran bel POV per questa foto, dove oltre a mostrarci il bel vecchio tram per turisti, lasci anche spazio a questa grande piazza con in primo piano il monumento con il cavaliere.
