Photographers Note
This was in Agadir i think.. I stayed in Morocco for a week in those days. so was a short trip.. and i cant remember the details most of the time honestly..
I was buying a djellaba for myself (those famous men's dress with a long hood!) in a soukh (covered market) somewhere near the city center i remember vaguely.. (i still wear that at home btw, soo comfortable! ;-)
This woman was the tailors' wife in that soukh. She was having a short nap between those waving silk curtains..

very lovely composition, unusual and moody. it looks as if you've used a flash although perhaps it was just ambient light -- anyway, i kind of wish it were less blue and glary, but i do love seeing her face so clearly. strange and good.

Ah ah, shame on you Evren, you like to shoot people in their disadvantage ;o))). Let her take a nap in peace and go back to bargain your djellaba ;oP hihi. A funny catch here with nice colors, why did you choose this framing ?
Have a nice Week End, I'm on holidays...youpi !!! ;o)

Hi Evren,
This photo has a surrealistic quality to it. Various colours, and elements which are not very clear. Even the lady's head looks as if it was floating in the photo. I agree with above: strange but interesting.

what I like most here, and it's strange are the colros.. I guess we both share the passion for purple. What a nice framing too.
very good.

I've been looking at this image since last night and at first I wasn't appreciating it as I do now - it is almost as if I appreciate it in a more unforgettable way - the colours are truly remarkable together - abstract the recognisable elements and the strength of the colour relationships as a composition is stunning. ...but of course the human and cultural dimension of the picture is also important here and well shown - I share some of tongapup's comment on the light traces in this particular picture because they do affect what the picture relies upon for it's quality.
bravo!

Evren,
A fantastic image! In the best of creative moments! The light on the single face in the corner is so revealing, and the rest the frame does a phenomenal job is giving the mood...yes, a quintessential moody photograph. Good rendition of color too.

Hi Evren - fantastic colour once again, the deep red, purple and saffron are wonderful, and no pistachio green in sight..... also it always makes me smile when I see people sleeping
