Photographer’s Note
For a long time, I doubted to post this picture.
The colours and light are not that great and the top is missing, no info on the net, but I like this chapel and today, I "cut the knot" and so, here it is....
As the title says, Chapel With A Beautiful Name which is "Chapelle De Quillidoare Ty Flour"....(is it beautiful or not:-))
You also can see a "calvaire" next to the church.
A calvaire (calvary) is a sculpture, where "the way to the cross" can be seen.

Hi Hans,
For me, and you have a introductory note that says that you never make WS for others, and I'm exactly what I think, however I post some. Like music or photo we have Classic processes with many rules that one decisive or creative momment don't exists in this type of rules. I have made some recent and past critiques to you but not allways, but I like your work and way of thinking art, photo or daily life. I like music, to play piano, but all my teachers in this area said, you have your own rules, so my respect to a great friend from the beginning that you are, and also with your good post past, present and future.
You like, I like and also members would like this well captured church in a beautiful surrounding scenery and atmosphere. You don't merety a gift to have NO critiques only for amateur critique rules that you think by personal imagination or by the thinking of others that react like professionals.
The Spirit of this WEB is for amateurs and also professional that share ideas. I like Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven but also Chick Korea, Steely Dan and others, Rock-jazz, Blues that have nothing in commmon, but ARE Universal and with very different rules. Life is a universe of details, AND if something don't exist the Universe is no more life !!!
The best to you and your great work!
I like it!

This is a very nice place in Finistère, and you are welcome to show this little chapel whith has nice name. I searched but could not find the translation, this is a family name which has something to see with the word "tail" (as every family here the name mean something, for example mine is to be translated double front head (certainly according to the shape of the head of my ancesters, and then by extension meaned clever, I am happy from this:)))).
Calvaire at this place is the trademark from this region, and I would say it is in catholic celebration the end of a crucifix way in 12 scenes, and when it is done every body finishes outside here and pray. Its also a place where finishes the famous "pardons", or expiation ceremonies where people walk in cortège in the countryside to finish here.
I like the photo whith its natural side and as I am working for myself on technics of PP I tried a friendly WS to propose you another way to see it.

Hi Hans, well chosen to let your sense of appreciation of this little-great piece of church architecture lead you to post this one. The sky is partly burnt out but this doesn't interfere with me enjoying the richness of architectural details and textures and the angle of takin' here. Well done. Regards from Rotterdam, Bert.

Hi Hans,

Groeten,
John.

I think that although the sky is verging on being overexposed this image is definitely worth posting.
The spire is very unusual - it's worth it just for that :)

Maybe it has problems,ok!...but one thing is important for me.it's from a photographer that has a great gallery in TE,no doubt for me,yes,...if the shot has posted by a new member and we don't know him/her,then I will say that it's overexposed and ....,but,now it's different for me,why?!...when I know Hans's think,mind,works,idea,POV,feeling,...then I see the shot with a special filter, not because of he is a my(our) friend, but because of those reasons which I said above,...in this cases,to study Hans's works is important.
I know Hans know the shot's problem very well, better than me,...and it dosn't need to say it by me.
I can easily underestand Your feeling about the shot, really I have a good feeling about it,...with refer to your gallery and your works,...I like it,too,Hans!
Thanks for sharing dear!
Best Regards

Hi Hans,
What I need is to learn and know more about people, places, life styles and cultures. That's why I'm here.
Now, I learnt that there is an another chapel in western France, Bretagne which name is "Chapelle De Quillidoare Ty Flour" and also know now what the calcary is.
Good job and thanks for sharing...

Bonjour mon ami Hans,
Philippe

I like the presentation of the chapel hans. Very good compowise, good details, the sky is not so good as you say, still interesting presentation.

Well, You’ve already critiqued this one in your note… Not fair… ;-)
Despite the exposure issues in the sky, and the hard contrast resulting from it, as well the top of the tower, the POV is good and I particularly like the inclusion of the branches in the right part. The Calvary is also a good detail as it fills the space and balances the composition.

Hi Hans.
It's a very beautiful chapel you present here, with an original name (of course !) and a very special architecture. It's probably a typical one in Brittany. The composition is nice and well balanced and the contrast and light increase the textural qualities of the picture. Thanks for sharing !

Not only the name is beautifull the chapell also is. Brittany is a fantastic region where we can find a lot of such chapels.

Bonjour Hans
Bravo !
Cordialement, Gilles
