Photographer’s Note
These houses you see on the pictures are the houses typical in Oslo in olden times. Many houses are all very well preserved in Oslo?s Open Air Folk Museum. You will be amazed at the sizes of wood members they used for post, siding and beams. The sodded insulation on the roof. I learned how they construct it then. I marveled at the wood churches, the beveled and sculpted glass windows and their way of life. This is one place worth a visit when you go to Oslo.

Bonjour Andre,
Très interessant cette très vieille ville avec la végétation qui pousse même sur les toits. Cet endroit est très charmant , d'autant que tu l'as photographi avec brio, couleurs et mise au point impeccables.
Vraiment un bel endroit.
Daniel.

A beautifully detailed picture of these fascinating houses. I'll be sure to visit if I ever find myself in Oslo. Thanks for the note.

Very nice photo of those old houses. The colours are nice and sunny, but a bit bluish, maybe I try a WS later. I looks you had better weather than I had when I was visiting this nice museum.

Hi Andre,
Beautiful houses you had the chance to see on that splendid day, you chose a nice angle to present them at their best, the path ist just below overexposure and the great light of this summer day helped to get beautiful warm colors of the wood, well done !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

You managed to capture the sun burned and weather beaten suface of the old buildings... very well done! Nice perspective, even if I personally preferred those people to be somewhere else...
