Photographer’s Note

These houses you see on the pictures are the houses typical in Oslo in olden times. Many houses are all very well preserved in Oslo?s Open Air Folk Museum. You will be amazed at the sizes of wood members they used for post, siding and beams. The sodded insulation on the roof. I learned how they construct it then. I marveled at the wood churches, the beveled and sculpted glass windows and their way of life. This is one place worth a visit when you go to Oslo.
