Photographer’s Note

El Castillo, is am impressive pyramid which dominates the site of Chichen Itza: Built by the Toltecs in the late 10th century, the site attracts a very large number of tourists.
Here I wanted to enhance many things. The clouds of course, but I chose a moment when the light was on the pyramid mainly , and the shade on the pillar for depth.

Quel ciel !!
Vraiment bien réussi. Beaucoup de lumière aussi et excellente idée de prendre cette pyramide entre les colonnes de pierre.
Cadrage vertical bien choisi aussi.

Hi Izzet, this one is very, very well composed with the details in the foreground and the view on the pyramid and indeed, a good lightning ! And no tourists, how nice to see this.....

Les couleurs et la netteté de cette photo sont magnifiques. Le ciel est de la partie, et le cadrage très soigné donne des perspectives tout à fait intéressantes. C'est une très belle image, merci !

Bonjour Izzet,
C'est un delice cette photo, pour son cadrage impeccable en utilisant les elements du (majestueux) decor, pour ses jeux avec la lumiere et l'eclairage de la pyramide, pour ses couleurs tres bien saturees et l'utilisation impeccable du pola, j'aime aussi le ciel nuageux.
POur tout cela, bravo !

Excellent use of light. The pyramid looks very nice under that light. The sky is gorgeous and the POV has been very well chosen.

spectacular view of the pyramid, but I should mention that Chichen Itza was built by the Mayans not the Toltecs

Very elegant framing of the site - Looks like you shot the photo from the Temple of 1000 Columns. I wish I knew when I was there that it's possible to climb up there, because that's quite a nice view.
