Photographer’s Note

I know that the colosseo has been put a lot on TE already...but not from this point of view... This photo has been taken from the top of the Museo del Risorgimento. It is only possible since a few months to climb up there and only at certain hours. The view you can have on the city from there is unique..

Bonjour Leonie,
Tres beau point de vue du colise. Le choix de l'angle est tres bon et donne une tres belle dimension a ce monument.
Tres belle lumiere rasante donnant des couleurs chaudes a ta photo.
Bravo et merci du partage, Rome etant une ville que j'aime beaucoup.

Bonjour Léonie,
grâce à ce point de vue, on voit bien l'intégration de ce vieux monument dans la ville actuelle de Rome.
On a aussi une bonne idée de sa dimension.

Indeed a 'new' point of view of a millionfold shot object, Léonie. I like the view o'er the roofs towards the misty hills in the background Well used afternoon lights, thy add some structure to the walls as well as depth to the compo itself. Good way cropping to a nearly panorama-view, underlines the size of the Colosseo.

Je suis déjà allé en Italie mais pas plus loin que Florence. C'est donc uniquement par les photos que je connais cette ville. En tout cas, cela vallait la peine de nous présenter le collisée de cet angle. Maintenant, je sais que si je visite Rome, je dois aller me ballader sur le musée del Risorgimento! Bien vu!

You're right, I've seen so many shots of this place, but I can't remember seeeing it from this angle, very well found PoV, which gives the building a different perspective, and shows more of its setting in the town. Added to theme.

joli point de vue sur le colisée. je regrette juste un peu que les arbres du centre ne soient pas plus verdoyant, cependant, j'aime bcp la lumiere du soleil couchant sur les vieilles pierres, ce qui leur redonne un côté chatoyant et vivant.
Jolie composition en tout cas

Good POV over the coliseum, because we can fit it in its environment with the surrounding buildings seen. Great golden light as well. I just think that this image needs more sharpness and contrast and a removal of the bluish cast. Made a WS.

Hi, Leonie, I do like the POV. The dark based colors brought back to the ancient mood. The elongated sunset light provide the hint of the “end of story”. Well composed picture.

Quel coup d'oeil ! Format panoramique bien choisi pour cette vue c'est vrai peu ordinaire du Colisée.
Ah la netteté dans une photo ! Tu vas y arriver j'en suis sûr. Vois le WS de José ;-)

Nice green photo. This photo shows us a city, but there is really lots of nature here, also on the background where one can see the hills. Nice composition.
Yeah, this building is posted before, but I haven't seen it from this pov before.

Hola Leonie. Una gran foto, creo que representa muy bien el paso de los años por Roma. Se pueden apreciar estructuras de épocas muy distintas. Además la composición y la iluminación de la foto estan muy bien. Buen trabajo.
