Photographer’s Note
I spent a great time in the botanical gardens linked to the University - this picture looks like it's at night but it's in the daytime aginst a dark background - I didn't really ever photo plants before I went here. This one has been used as an inspiration for haiku on a Japanese website.

I really like the bright colors against the dark background.Also nice graphism in your shot,Kev.The blue unsharp lightspots in the background are a fine extra.
Yes I know what Claude is talking about,a few years ago I had a Olympus OM2 Spot/Program,a good camera and the Zuiko lenses where small and very good.Thanks to ebay that you can get these analog stuff very cheap nowadays.

What are those lightspots in the background and did the end of the plants really have these red colour? I can imagine it's inspiring to people who write poems. Nice compo and strong details.
