This is the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Italy is known as a country with so much good weather, but not this day in October 1992. Several rivers in Italy had overflowed its banks that autumn.

The original picture is a slide.

The Ponte Vecchio is dated of 1345 and 1564.
The architect is Taddeo Gaddi.
The most important construction elements are bearing masonry, stone arches.
Inhabited urban bridge across the Arno. three great segmented arches on massive piers, with arches above. The corridor above the shops is by Vasari.
The picture is taken from the neighbourhood of the corridor to the Uffizi.

Florence is one of the most exciting places to visit.
