In a beautiful art & culture city like Sankt Peterburg, even the metro stations need to be up to the required level of architecture, on this photo you can see the "Ploschchad Vosstaniya" station, if you arrive by train from Moskva you'll find it quickly as it serves the "Moskovskiy Vokzal" railway station.

this is one place that I really want to visit - one day. very nice shot Jean-Yves. excellent angle and composition - and russian language there (can you speak russia ? wow).
it's a pitty isn't it to see those tram cables hanging around beautiful architectures, it's a problem I see it here also.

Bonjour Jean-Yves,
cette station de métro est très bien saisie.
Les câbles ne sont pas pour me déplaire, ça rajoute un côté urbain qui n'est pas pour me déplaire.
Par contre je trouve que la photo est trop verte et je poste un WS avec correction des couleurs.

La prise de vue est intéressante, bien cadrée, la couleur a un petit gout de pistache mais ca donne pas mal.

C'est pratiquement un monument, il ressemble à certains édifices parisiens ou de province des Administrations chargées de percevoir l'octroi (contribution), heureusement abandonnée en 1948 !

Très belle architecture pour un métro et on pourrait y mettre une expos photo avec ce cadre. C'est vrai les couleurs font un brin pistache, mais qu'on on aime…
Les cables baffouillent un peu la photo, mais ils font partie entière de l'environnement et franchement il y en de trop pour les enlever.

Nice photo of the St. Petersburg subway station, Jean-Yves. Good composition to make it stand out in between the surrounding old buildings. Nice to have the pedestrians included for scale. Again there seems to be a slight green touch, but the overall result is good and crisply detailed.

Un immeuble impressionnant Jean Yves. Incroyabel qu'il s'agisse d'une station de metro. J'imagine que cette ville est un paradis pour les photographes.

Great shot of Saint Petersburg. The composition is excellent and wonderful architecture abounds in this shot. Is it me or do I see a hint of green throughout the shot? At any rate, another good shot.

Oh, I missed this latest series of yours. A nice memory for me, since that's exactly where I first went, after arriving on an overnight sleeper from Moscow. Why didn't I take one of this lovely building? Oh yes, I used the film up on the train, and a bit too early yo buy one, and it was dark when I returned. I like the old postcard look you've achieved here

Cela me fait penser à la Rotonde de Claude Nicolas Ledoux dans le XIXè arr. à Paris (M° Stalingrad justement !). C'est en tout cas une très belle station de Métro avec un sigle original.

comme le souhaitait Staline lors de la construction des metros en Russie, ceux-ci devaient etre l'art accessible pour tous.
Je trouve ta photo splendide car typique de la Russie il y a quelques annees.
