Photographer’s Note

This is not a heritage version of grafitti but the nicely decorated frontage of the Lindau town hall in Southern Germany, taken during the early blue hour.

This fine building was first built int he first part of the XVth century, then a century later it was rebuilt in renaissance style.

Funnily only today did I notice the city name Lindau nearly exactly matches the name of a famous local TE member ;-)

Hello Jean Yves,
magnifiques lumières nocturnes, avec un très bel ensemble architectural. Je ne sais pas à quelle horaire tu effectues ce genre de prise de vue, mais ce mélange de teintes froides du ciel bleu très dense se marie très bien avec les teintes chaudes de l'éclairage de rue !splendide !

Une bonne image nocturne de ce très bel édifice que j'aurai bien vu en Autriche. L'architecture est vraiment particulière et élégante.

The blue hour is always beautiful isn't it? And, if you combine this with a good photographer you can get something like this: a superb picture with great details and colours.

Quelle étrange architecture. Chargée de décorations en tout genre et flanquée d'un très bel escalier couvert, cette façade est un très bel exemple de ce qui se faisait dans le passé dans cette ville. L'heure de la prise de vue est parfaite pour donner encore plus de cachet à cette place.

ja das sieht ja fast aus wie Lindau, eine meiner Lieblingsstädte, wie man sich vielleicht denken kann ;-) Ach ja, und wen du wohl mit dem TE member meinst ;-)
Sehr schönes blue hour Bild, obwohl ich schön unzählige Male in Lindau war, hatte ich noch nie die Idee das Rathaus zu fotografieren, nachdem ich dein Bild hier sehe ist das durchaus ne Überlegung wert...

What better time than the blue hour to capture a shot of the pretty architecture with the wonderful decoration. I also like the porched stairs as a feature as the light and shadow play work well.
I see the famous Linda(u) hasn't popped in yet, but I see there is someone close to pass on the message. :D

I remember seeing this same house long back in TE, but that was a daytime shot! Classic blue hour shot & fine facade of the house as well...would be tempted to se the closeup of all the murals sometime later

Fantastic blue hour shot with nice blending of natural and artificial lighting. The artificial lighting brings out the great detail and color of the buildings while the natural light fives you the wonderful blue sky. THe photo is sharp and well composed.
