The composition here is amazing! Resisting going for a full portrait worked very well. Also beautifully sharp and perfect use of DOF.
This captures the essence of the Japanese culture.

Yeah, this is great. I tried some head cutting, but it didn't work as well as here. Splendid colors and composition. Everything is great.

Well done, Thien. Rare photo for this site, most of the people try to get the composition straight by applying the standardrules and leave out the disturbing elements. You're playing with the rules and you're up on the ladder of photography. Really outstanding.

This is a beautiful image Thien the very good cropping make me want to see more, the peach and green colours are just great together, hard sunlight on the arm just takes the edge off it thou.

similer in a way to u'r "no place like home" picture u cropped the top again..and the soft light on her back adds to the felling of the movement' very unique..

I wish her hand had been as sharp as the dress, but even though... What a talentful photograph you are Thien, your framing are really wonderful!

Beautiful colours, great crop. I do feel the hands/bowl need to be in focus - the eye goes straight to them.

Perfect example of un-orthodox composition.
By simply not including the head, you have turned this in to a very beautiful photo. The skin tones on the hand are also very good.

In your profile you said that you're a newbie. After watching some of your photo I've just seen professional working. This focus on the gesture is very significative of Japanese culture and you take it perfectly. BRAVO !!!

head cutting works well to the contrary of expectation. i would have liked to see the green bow on her back not cropped, if possible!

A foto é rica em detalhes da cerimônia do chá. Um ótimo enquadramento que, apesar de não mostrar o rosto da moça que veste o kimono, é extremamente belo e causa um ótimo efeito visual.

The picture is rich in details of the tea cerimony. Even not showing the girl's face, the shot is incredible and cause a great visual effect.
