Army Club of Bucharest Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Army Club (Cercul Militar National) in the city of Bucharest, Calea Victoriei and Regina Elisabeta street. This highly ornate building was designed in French neo-Classical style by Dumitru Maimarolu, Victor Stefanescu and Ernest Doneaud. Construction started in 1911 and ended in 1923 with most of the funds being donated by the Romanian Army officers. The Army Club replaced the monastery church of Sarindar which used to sit here.

Calkiem ciekawe gmaszysko, bardzo stylowe i charakterystyczne. Szkoda, ze nie zlapali sie w kadrze wartownicy, straznicy lub chocby tylko stojkowi. Byloby jeszcze lepiej. Wiem, wiem, fotografujesz architekture, nie ludzi.

Zabawne, kasyno oficerskie, a wyglada jak jakis palac, jesli nie swiatynia, ale tez w koncu kasyno to przeciez poganska swiatynia jak najbardziej. Fajowska fotencja, ostrosc jak brzytwa.

A fine view of this classic view. I passed there just a few weeks ago and was wandering if I could have a beer on the terrace. But I conbcluded that this must b e a closed club...

Nigdy nie przypuszczalem, ze w Bukareszcie takie budowle mozna zobaczyc.
Kolejny ciekawy obiekt ladnie pokazany.
Kolorystyka i swiatlo to atut tego kadru.

Witaj Też raczej monumentalna architektura tego budynku. Znakomite zdjęćie. Browary jak wszędzie sponsoruja ogródki pio\wne ( nie lubię). Pozdrawiam
