Photographer’s Note
Taken during a climb up to the Barenjoey Lighthouse which overlooks Palm beach to the west and this stretch of water known as Pittwater, a popular place for boating. The closest thing to a castle around here.
At the far end of Sydney's northern beaches, is an area renowned for its natural beauty and quality of lifestyle.
Just 45 minutes north of the CBD are long stretches of open beach, rugged headlands and sandstone sea cliffs, tranquil waterways, native bushland with pockets of rainforest, wetlands providing sanctuary to a myriad of bird species, and rock platforms bursting with marine life.
The natural contrasts of the Pittwater environment are matched by the commercial environment where corner stores, providing a valuable service to their local community, co-exist with leading edge technology companies successfully competing in international markets.
This rich diversity is also reflected in the interests and beliefs of the community. It is this natural, commercial and social diversity which makes Pittwater an interesting place to live and a wonderful place to visit.

Hi Murray,
The view seem exotic from this place. The castle corner does give us an interesting perspective of this paradise. Good work with the sharpness and colours. Thanks Murray :-)

At first, I thought it was the ruins of a castle! It is a very nice view and an excellent shot where the grass of the foreground adds a lot to the depth and the scale. The colours are very vivid and beautiful. Well done.

Hello Murray,
Frequently one sees this sort of structure with a brass cannon aimed toward the sea. A light house, of course, is different. The view is spectacular! I like the inclusion of the growth in the foreground, adding both depth and color highlight.
Warm regards,

Hi Murray,
The point of view is giving a spectacular view of the bay towards the hills on the opposite shore. The prsenvce of the boats has an effect of scale. The section of the lighthouse in the foreground is framing well the scenery. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. have a nice day.
Pierre
