Photographer’s Note
The plaza at Melbourne's Federation Square is paved with rocks that come from the other side of the country, Western Australia. They have beautiful warm reddish colours. In places there are words and sentences carved into the stones. They contain no meaning or message as far as I can tell, but look great in the low afternoon sunlight.
In the middle of summer this place is horrendously hot, with heat and glare reflecting off the ground. But at other times of year it is quite pleasant.
Polariser used to help cut down the glare and emphasise the colour.
