Photographer’s Note
This is a photo of Storkyrkan taken from Trångsund alley. Other photos from almost the same POV have been uploaded earlier in TE. I decided to upload mine though, partly because of the "Café Sten Sture" sign. Reed below. :-)
You can read about the church here. Another view of the church tower is here.
If I had known the history of the café on the left of Trångsund alley, the sign of which you can see on the left, I would have tried to take some photos of it. Café Sten Sture has an interesting history. The building was used as a monastery until the time of Gustav Wasa (1496-1560). Later it became a jail. Johan Ankarström has been hold here in prison in one of the rooms, after the murder of Gustav III (1792). There were earlier secret passages to the Royal Palace and the Storkyrkan church. The Royal Palace can be seen in the map view, if you zoom in several times. It is located less than 50 metres from the other end of the church in north-east direction.
The building on the right is Börsen (Stockholm Stock Exchange Building) which today houses the Swedish Academy, the Nobel Museum and the Nobel Library. Note also the old telephone booth behind the bicycles.
PP: I applied fill light, brightness and clarity settings in RAW. I then corrected tilting and part of the lens distortion in PS, reduced noise (I had forgotten the ISO value at 1600, which I needed for the church interior!) and sharpened the photo.
The mark of the map is placed at the tower.

Lasse,
Excellent shot of this fine tower. The inclusion of the foreground buildings and sign add nice detail to the shot. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF. The contrast between the sunlit areas of the shot and the shadows works well.
TFS,
Asa

Hej Lasse,
A view like this one can certainly be uploaded in many versions! Your version not only has the sign, it has a very fine clarity and sharpness. Clearly a good PP work as well even with a forgotten the ISO value and the clock on Finnish time... ;-) But indeed an attractive view from our capital!

Hallo Lasse!
Here you have had a wonderful but difficult light - and you managed it skillfully. This view from the street, framed by houses creates an interesting effect and "includes" the church somehow into the city. I like the many architectural details one can see here. The sunlit steeple above the shady houses gives an additional emphasizing effect.
Greetings from warm and sticky Westphalia!

Hi, Lasse.
Excellent job, with as a result an extremely well balanced shot in terms of contrast between light and shadow. The architecture and the colors are beautiful, so is your presentation. TFS! Have a nice evening, I'll be seeing you.

Hello Lasse,
I was away in the weekend and I see you have posted another fine photo of the same church in the very center of Stockholm.
I like how the belltower is framed by the buildings at the sides. In spite of the difficult light situation and of the ISO mistake (it happens to me too!) the result is quite good and pleasurable. I like the colours (which I find naturally saturated) and your usual good sharpness which allows to appreciate the telephon booth and the bicycles and also the fine building in the background. Nice to see the Cafè Sturen sign too. The light seems quite a summer light... and gives a pleasant atmosphere.
Have a nice day,
Donato

Hei Lasse,
Orange brown paint and green copper make a good combination on this classic church. Again perspective correction gives this vertical shot fairly vatural look. You found a good PoV on tight corners of the old town.

Hello Lasse,
First a very beautiful clock-tower.
A very nive view too with a good managment of light which give pleasant shade's effect. A good framing too with the elements on the side which give a great prospect to the image.
Best regards,
Roger

Hello Lasse,
a really VERY interesting story about the cafe! I should take a closer look at it next time ;)
I like this church, and I think that one can take many photos of it from different angles... and at different time of the day (including night and early morning). Stockholm is a city of mood. And the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder (photographer) :)
But I was surprised to read about the ISO!!
The church made you forget about the camrea settings? ;)
Warm greetings from hot Moscow,
Elena
PS. Almost hot summer here now!

Hej Lasse,
a well known church with the beautiful phone to the right on the street. I like your Pov and the interesting background story about the cafe. I will definitely take a visit there as soon as possibly. The flag on the left side should be Swedish, but that`s not you can do something about :-)
Have a nice day.
Boa
