Photographer’s Note
Next to the Teatralnaya Metro Station I found these elderly people waving the old Soviet Union flag, singing Internationala and one of the women was hiding behind a portrait of Stalin. When I took my camera, the man with the flag slightly nodded by his head and I took several pictures. They had simply homeseek after the "good old" times. I understood them, the young generation was dressed more fancy and had interests like other young people in the western World, something unimaginable twenty years ago. These elderly people did not understand what happened, and thought of the old times, where they felt confident and when such young people would be sentenced to uniformity and when any individuality was surpressed. The day after when I looked for them, I did not find them, just two policemen were standing at this place...

Hi Michael,
good photo,good moment,I grew up in that country and understand and feel sorry for these people-they were left with nothing by the country they fight for,worked for and lost their health for.Now they try to survive...
