Photographer’s Note

Last post for a while since next monday I'll go to another adventure of one month. The title of this post refers to my sudden decision of traveling to Argentina, so I'll problably be flying over ice in Patagonia very soon...

Picture taken while having a wonderful walk of several hours with Jean Charles (JCG) in the Park of Versailles. The weather and light was changing constantly and although the sun and blue sky was showing up more and more, it darken suddenly at the time of clicking the button. The sharpness isn't the best but this picture expresses the winter mood and my eminent flight to Patagonia. In my opinion this is the most beautiful place in Versailles. The lake was still partially frozen due to heavy snow fallen in the previous week.

Tower of Marlborough
The tower of Marlborough which belongs to the Hamlet of Marie-Antoinette (1783), dominates the lake surrounded by the village drawn by Richard Mique.
The base was used as fisheries.
The Petit hameau de la Reine ("Little hamlet of the Queen") was the rustic retreat built for Marie Antoinette, sited in the private section of the park of Versailles, in a secluded spot within reach of Ange-Jacques Gabriel's Petit Trianon, which Louis XV had built for Comtesse du Barry, and which his successor Louis XVI subsequently gave to his queen.

Richard Mique

Born in Nancy in 1728, died on the scaffold in Paris in 1794. Architect for Marie Leszczynska (woman of Louis XV), it creates for Marie Antoinette the “Hamlet of the Queen” and small Trianon in the park of the castle of Versailles.

Where is the polarized sky :P Thanks God , the seagull makes me smile :D I really enjoy all the color of your garden, I wish you were able to get closer to the red boy by using another lense . The POV and sharpness of WS1 is superb that's why I prefer.

You're a great traveler !!! Another nice memory of this pleasant walk in your company and that of Ana. A beautiful picture on the Marlborough tour with this light so special of this Sunday. Good timing on the gull which completes the image, I love it like that we offered in WS. And thank you for your dedication in your nice note.

legal ver a superfície congelada, a torre bem posicionada bem como o pássaro. acho a foto com um probleminha de nitidez, mas nada grave.
já quanto as fotos do canyon, vou gastar o mês de março inteiro para colocar todas, quando estiveres dentro de uma lan-house, com chuva e á espera, poderás dar uma olhada.hahaha. OK, espero que isso não aconteça e que haja só sol e tempo bom por lá..

Cette photo est très réussie. J'aime la lumière et les reflets dans cette eau par endroits gelée. L'oiseau a bien fait de passer par là au bon moment.

Hi Ric, You travel quite o lot. Last year I also travelled but this ear seems rather boring, and this sudden bad change rate does not look optimistic. I wonder where will you go to Argentina. I also planned a trip and bought some guide books. I suppose you will see Iguacu, it is my dream to go there. Unusual view of this icy lake in Versailles.

Eh oui ! une bien jolie vue de cette tour grelottant sous mars ! Un hameau très beau, Marie-Antoinette a su profiter, pas très longtemps de se prendre pour une fermière de luxe, cela lui en a couté la tête en 1793 !
Merci d’avoir bien voulu mettre un lien pour chacun (JCG et Papagolf).
La présence de la mouette est très bien vue !

vendo a imagem logo que ela foi carregada ja vo problemas com a nitidez, mas só depois percebi que o foco estava centrado na ave. Bem original essa idéia, e gostei do resultado com um leve bokeh na paisagem ao fundo. Ótimas as imagens do WS também.

Maybe you're back after a long break..maybe not! I'm in Mumbai still shuttling between here & Delhi & hopefully will settle down in the second week of May. I am sporadic in posting & crtqing in TE as well presently. It's hot here, temperatures hovering around 40s & the sight of ice here soothes my eyes. Nice shot from this place, we've seen pictures from other members...the flying gull does add a lot IMO. Hope both of you're doing fine my friend!

La présence des petites mouettes dans les terres signifie une grosse vague de froid.
Intéressante vue sur le parc de Versailles.
J'apprécie la luminosité latérale qui donne un peu de relief à l'image.

el vuelo rasante de la gaviota sobre el agua helada està bien captado en un enfoque directo y dinámico. Y la belleza de los jardines de Versailles es un gran complemento estético a la composición.
Me gusta la luminosidad del día de invierno y la atmósfera fría que nos hace sentir tu foto.

That's a perfect landing flight, congrats Ricardo, you got the birdy right on the spot. How was the landing? Hopefully all passengers were happy! You managed the light very well, to produce vibrant colors, pleasing contrasts and high sharpness
