Photographer’s Note

Probably the nearest close to death experience of being smothered alive by children happened to me in this community in Chongqing - as part of a community consultation project we visited a number of neighbourhoods including the one housing this school. For some reason i became hyper-popular with the kids and was literally buried by them wanting my autograph and a few words in English........this was a slightly more sedate moment as they participated, alongside people of all ages, in the consultation exercise!

Like this photo of yours. Since faces are all looking at different directions, there is an inbuilt sense of urgency and focus in this.Looks like 'hurrying to complete' in a school competition.

hello kev,
you have high rank survival skills, it is nice to see you alive among us.
the kids are spread all around, it is quite hard job to create a meaningful composition with such subjects and you permordmed an excellent one.

Everything's suspended in your picture Kev: the stright look at us (you) of the boy, the talking girl on the right handside and the waiting girl on the left... you put us inside this moment of childhood. Well done!

Kev otra gran perspectiva. Muy buen punto de vista para esta toma. Cada niño con su mundo y pensando con mucha consentración en su actividad excepto este niño central que mira atentamente al lente. Muy buena profundidad de campo y el contraste es estupendo.
