Photographer’s Note
I met this old lady, when I went to a village in Khom Pong Thom province, to make a story about fried spiders. My guide told me that she was a monk. That was why she was bald. I took the picture at once, retouched it to add contrast and to sharpen the skin look. Please comment.

Hi Tomi, I find this photo as a very interesting one.
A great expression of the monk's face is unforgettable. It is really a daily life.
Good shot.

Great portrait Tomi! Very well seen. These ladies are so typical, I wonder why they shave their heads? Very good contrast indeed.

this is outstanding in sharpness and attitude catching. I think the background is over-exposed and really swears (left side at least) against this powerful portrait. I think you deserved a lot more attention and hope you will get it still, but i wonder if some members looked at the thumbnail and were turned off by that over-exposure. If not, i am at loss. Or maybe she is not looking at you, or something...
This is a striking portrait nonetheless.
