Mondsee Cathedral Photo

Photographer’s Note

Mondsee is an Austrian town in the Vöcklabruck district in Upper Austria located on the shore of the lake Mondsee. The length from north to south is 9.5 km, and width from east to west is 7.7 km. There is features a church used for the site of the wedding in The Sound of Music. In the WS I have included a shot of the alter.

Beautiful interior shot with spectacular simmetrical composition. The details of the organ are well presented and are framed nicely. The colours and light are nice with good sharpness and details

I love your photo: this church is wonderful, with so a sweet light! I know very well that place, and... Asaaaa??? Did you see the Mondsee wit the first lights of the morning? If not, you have to go back there! Believe me!!!

This is a beautiful and quite unusual cathedral interior. The overall architecture seems simple with clean lines and almost modern in decor, while the details are very ornate: almost Baroque in style. Good use of your high POV for the perspective view up the aisle.

A good capture of this cathedral interior with its beautiful decorations. Difficult lighting conditions have led to slight over exposure in some areas but not a major issue. The visitors add a human touch and give a good sense of scale.

Olá Asa, excellent capture of this very interesting church's interior. Impressive the contrasts of gold sculptures against the black wood and all the pink structure with flower detail on the ceiling - never seen anything like this. Thanks also for the alter in WS.

Hello Asa,
the coexistence of Gothic and Baroque is also in this case fascinating, especially due to their contrasting colours. Thanks to the well chosen POV the symmetry (characteristic for both styles) dominates the picture.
