Photographer’s Note

The conservatory in Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne. The gardens are near Parliament House. This conservatory is open to the public, free, and has displays of flowers that change every month or so. The building has a Spanish feel to it, or so I reckon.

There is a fountain in the middle of the photo, but it is dry like most fountains in Melbourne, because of water restrictions.

Scanned from a slide. Polariser used. A contrast mask was applied in Photoshop, to brighten up some of the shadows. I underexposed the photo slightly, which brings out the colours in slide film, and also stopped the white sculpture from being burnt out.
