I dedicate this photo our TE Friend Marek ( GUSTAW) who has died today... Rest in peace Marek...

You can see here ( like in workshop ) construction of hudge wheels for special Chariots...
The famous Car Festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri is held on Ashadha Sukla Dwitiya (June-July) every year. It is a very important and colorful event, which has global significance. And the vital component of the festival is the construction of the massive three wooden chariots and for which 862 Nos. of different species and size of timbers are supplied by this Division for construction of chariots of three Deities every year as per Ratha Yatra code.
On the Car Festival day the three wooden Deities are taken out from the temple and placed in their respective Chariots, then drown to the Gundicha Ghar temple for a Seven-day-sojourn.
