Photographer’s Note
A long freight train chugs along the railway line following the Thompson River, just east of the town of Lytton. The colourful Thompson River Canyon is steep and subject to rockfalls, so there are short covered sections of line, as on the right of the photo, to protect the tracks and trains from falling rocks.
Trains are very frequent along this line, the main east-west route through the Coast Mountains, so you don't have to wait long to get one in a photo. You have to wait a long time if you want it to pass, though.
Scanned from a slide. Polariser used.

Hello Vincent,
The curve drawing by train cars are very attractive while passing splendidly yellow colored ridges. Excellent capture in natural colors and sharpness. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.
Best Regards,

Hi Vincent,
Spectacular place showing the famous railroad and seemingly endless string of freight cars deep down on the river gorge. Strong daylight fits well with arid landscape.
