Photographer’s Note

The Belvedere is a baroque palace complex built by Prince Eugene of Savoy in the 3rd district of Vienna, south-east of the city centre. It houses the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere museum.
The Belvedere Palace was built in 1721-22, when Prince Eugene of Savoy --during the war against the Turks, Commander in Chief of the Imperial Army-- asked Johan Lukas von Hildebrandt to construct a Summer palace. He actually never lived here.

Hi Asa,
Beautiful wide shot of this fantastic Austrian architecture that has so many beautiful intricate details that are so well seen in this shot.
Love the stairs framed by the lovely statues and how the green roof contrast so brilliantly with the vivid blue sky.

Very nice composition to show such a fine architecture of the palace complex and you have captured the view in good light control to show sharp details.

Good depth at f/13. The blue sky and white clouds is a good touch for contrast to green roof color.

The expansive panoramic shot, captures the majesty of the architectural edifice. I remember walking past it in 1989. Built to last, and never been occupied by the original builder!
