Photographer’s Note

quo vadis...

... or, "in the footsteps of bedouins" (literally). the photo was taken a year and a half ago in the dunes of merzouga, province of errachidia, morocco. the sun is to set down in a couple hours but it is already hanging very low above the surrounding dunes. however, we have stopped for the last rest before camping for night. the light is neither mid-day hard, nor the sun-setty orange one yet. the sky is calm with a slight hint of the rainstorm to come later that night. the sand is dry and responds to foot-steps with that characteristic sound we know from heated summer beaches.
