The Lake of the Swans Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another scene of my 26.07-01.08 trip, this year: the lake Alpsee of Hohenschwangau.
Those children were Japanese and, so far from their home, they were contemplating the lake and the mountains that surrounded it, while their mother was taking photos.
Hohenschwangau means, literally, "Castle of the High Swan County" and I saw more swans on the lake that justified the reputation of the place. Unfortunately, we can seen no swan in this photo, only some ducks. The swans had just left...

I'm happy to see this lovely summer scene now, as snow and cold days have arrived here!
A fine composition with good lines and a fine sense of depth, in a very peaceful setting with the cildren and ducks seem to enjoy life...

Hello Andreea,

A very nice place full of serenity. An orginal and nice view with the peoples and especialy the two children in the FG. These peoples gives an intersting elemnt of live, an idea of the scale of the landscape and a great prospect effect.

Hello Andreea.
This is a delightful picture, with magnificent viewpoint and composition, looking beyond the two children at the ducks. I like the sharpness of the features and the great depth and perspective. Perhaps it is a little over-exposed, but this kind of shot is very hard to take, with the bright sky behind. But it's a wonderful summer image. Well done.

Nice scene you captured here; I like the compo here connecting the two kids along the shore line toward their parents and the exact time of the "V" symbol by the left kid...Difficult conditions, though, shooting against the light, but you did quite good!
