For some time, it is usual for young lovers to put a lock on streetlight central Milvio bridge and other bridges and throw the keys into the river below, so as to make unbreakable their dream of love.
The custom seems to have been started in Florence, from officersof the School of Health in Costa San Giorgio who, at the time of leave, bound the lock of their locker on a metal bar over the parapet of Ponte Vecchio. This tradition has been translated in Rome and made popular by the book “ I want you” by Federico Moccia and subsequent transposition d film in which, in fact, the two players will swear eternal love combined with a padlock in the central pole of the bridge after tight, throwing away the keys

Even at Cagliari, in his smal,l phenomenon has been followed.
The young lovers have their own padlocks on the pier at the beach of Marina Piccola but they toss the keys at sea.
