Bad weather meeting Photo

Bad weather and strong mistral wind.

On the promontory of Calamosca I made this picture that I tried a compilation HDR but I realized that the colors were too unnatural, and I declined to post.
In the end as Bobo did with his monochrome photo, I opted for a black and white that makes perhaps the best atmosphere of the moment.

Preciosa e inquietante imagen!!
Casi se puede sentir la fuerza del mistral bajo este cielo amenazante. Muy buena captura, es una pena que el tiempo no os acompañara en vuestra salida.
Por lo visto habéis formado un equipo bastante majo!!

guardando la miniatura ho pensato ad uno dei famosi fari americani che affrontano l'oceano. Mi sorprende vedere che è in italia. Il B/N è una buona scelta.

Ciao Mario,
anche voi reduci dal mini-meeting? Ieri splendida giornata immersi nel barocco di Noto con Francio64 e Mauro61. Nel WS di Mauro puoi vedere la foto.
Trovo questa tua foto, e la scelta del B/W, assolutamente splendida. I toni del b/n sono perfettamente calibrati, ma d'altronde l'arte non si improvvisa.

Hi Mario,
The weather may have been bad, but the result of this photo is really quite good! Looking at some of the other photos in your gallery, you seem quite adept at getting the best out of bad weather situations and this is no exception. The composition is good and the B&W idea means there's actually a lot of good contrast in the sky. All in all, a good photo!

Ciao Mario, noi siamo stati più fortunati, a Montefalco c'era il sole ed il vino riscaldava bene, complimenti per questo bel bianco e nero di ottimo taglio, coronato da uno splendido cielo, grazie per il WS con gli amici della Sardega pecato manchi il longroute:)

Wowww me gusta tu opción en blanco y negro,
muy bonito cielo y encuadre genial con el faro,
me gusta porque parece que una tormenta se acerca, en cuanto al WS, todo un equipo de grandes fotografos! Buen trabajo!

ps. L'arbitro di ieri sara, opportunamante interpellato dall'amico Silvio, ha sicuramente partecipato al meeting del Sagrantino e devono averlo fatto cadere in una botte.

Una buona idea d'averse scelto il B&W, i contrasti sono infetto molto bei e molto ben captati.Uno bello ambiente di bordo di mare con uno punto di visto ben scelto ed una composizione ben equilibrata.

certe volte il nostro caro bianco e nero che molti danno per morto, ci riserva spettacoli unici che il colore non e' in grado di regalarci, bellissima questa dove l'atmosfera del momento e' palpabile con mano tanto e' ben eseguita la foto.

Mi sembra l'unica cosa buona venuta fuori dal vostro incontro.
Il faro, almeno su di me, ha un indubbio fascino, e inoltre hai saputo renderlo in modo magistrale. Sembra una foto antica di qualche costa nord europea. Il bianco e nero esalta la drammacità dell'immagine.
A mia giustificazione per la forzata assenza porterò una foto che chiarirà i motivi della stessa, e, spero, di vostro gradimento.

Hi Mario,

As one sees you on the photograph in WS, indeed the wind was to blow, you are, all, well equipped !!! The treatment in black and white is welcome taking into account the weather conditions, that gives to the sky a beautiful dramatic aspect. The low-angle shot brings a great dimension to the image I find. Beautiful photograph, Mario cheer.
