A partir de l’actuelle Aqaba, Moïse voulait remonter au nord par la voie royale et traverser le royaume d’Edom (le roi refusera). Mais avant Edom, Moïse passera par la région de Petra où la tradition dit qu’il frappa le rocher de son bâton pour faire jaillir de l’eau (actuelle source de Wadi Musa ?). Cet acte, selon la Bible, empêchera Moïse d’entrer en Terre Promise et il devra se contenter de l’apercevoir du haut du Mont Nébo qui sera l’étape ultime de Moïse et le lieu prétendu de sa mort.

Hello Thierry,
A well composed picture with very fine colours. Especially the sky and the haziness towards the horizon have the qualities of a painting. I also like how the line created by the wall in the foreground continues in the road winding down the hillside.
